Science in the Pub Quiz

On Wednesday 5th December we have our annual PubSci quiz. As usual we will have homegrown questions that don’t involve soaps, sports or “celebrities”, but they may involve cake. The fun of taking part aside, we will also have cash prizes, spot prizes and of course peer-reviewed drinking.

It’s just £3 to enter and with a maximum team size of six, although you can come on your own or in smaller groups and join up with others on the night. So join us upstairs at the Old King’s Head, near the Borough Road exit from London Bridge station. Doors open at 6:30pm for a prompt 7.30pm start – we hope to see you there!

Science in the Pub Quiz

On Wednesday 6th December we’re holding our annual quiz, which has a slightly more scientific spin than your average pub quiz. Rounds are more likely to involve interactive cake and booze identification than knowledge about sport and soap operas.

It’s just £3 to enter and we suggest teams of five, although don’t worry, you can come on your own or in smaller groups and join up with others on the night – it’s more about fun than prizes. That said, there are cash prizes and spot prizes too!

PubSci Annual Pub Quiz

On Wednesday 7th December we have our annual level-playing-field quiz for Pub Scientists. NO celebrities, sports, nor pop music questions. But we do have questions that challenge the senses and aren’t out of the quiz books. Sometimes they’re weird, but at least we write them ourselves. And we have cash prizes, spot prizes, cake and of course peer-reviewed drinking.

You can come as a team or make up a team from other PubSci regulars when you arrive.

Science Pub Quiz

Happy New Year from PubSci! We will be starting 2013 with another sciencey pub quiz on Tuesday 15th January.

Darwin-pub-quiz

Doors of the Upstairs Bar of the Brixton Ritzy will open at 7:30pm for an 8pm start, so bring your brains and gather your team members (max of 5 per team) for a mixed bag of science, pseudoscience and sci-fi questions.

We will be asking for £2 per person to go into the prize pot, so be prepared and spread the word – the more people that come, the bigger the the prize!

August PubSci: Pub Quiz

Science Pub Quiz

On Tuesday 28th August we will be making the most of the new expanded floor space Upstairs at the Brixton Ritzy by holding a science pub quiz. Ten rounds of questions intended to put your general scientific knowledge to the test.

You won’t need to be Einstein to have some fun and maybe win some prizes, so why not join us for a fun evening of fun science facts and a light smattering of science fiction?

We suggest you try to arrive by 7pm to get food and drink ready for a 7:30pm start. Don’t worry if you don’t have a team to bring, there’s a friendly crowd and there will be other people happy to join forces. We look forward to seeing you on the night!
